Welcome Babies

Welcome Babies in the Springfield Area is a program offered to families with newborns, providing them with a gift bag containing:

A book to read with your baby
A photo magnet
Information about the Parent Child Center
Free follow up information if parents wish it
An optional home visit if parents request it

If your baby is born at Springfield Hospital you will automatically receive a Welcome Baby gift bag prior to your hospital discharge and you can choose a follow up visit.

If you live in one of the towns served by the Springfield Area Parent Child Center (see list below) and your baby was not born at Springfield Hospital, you can call us at (802)886-5242 and arrange to receive your bag at your home or other place of your choosing.

Welcome Baby Magnets are included in every Welcome Baby bag. The center can be removed to display a photo of your new baby.

Towns served by the Springfield Area Parent Child Center include: Andover, Ascutney, Baltimore, Bellows Falls, Cavendish, Chester, Grafton, Ludlow, Londonderry, Perkinsville, Reading, Plymouth, Proctorsville, Saxtons River, Rockingham, Springfield, Weathersfield, Weston, Windsor, and West Windsor/Brownsville .
